How to repair areas of my sofa Suede strips?!?
My cat scratched the shit out of my seat to love that one corner is literally shattered. Now goes for regular sized sofa! I'm sick of it! I do not want to get declawed because when I buy a house that will be able to go out again so do not want to leave vulenerable. But now one of the corners all the love of my seat and of the rest of my arm a regular is going to lose. Is there any way to fix this? Should I get a cover? What is the cost of reupholstering? If you just bought a new one should I even try to sell these magnificent sofas formally or dispose of them? Agh I'm so frustrated! PS I already bought a scraper, toys, and I have dealt with water jets. And I'm out of the house from 7:20 am-6: 30pm 4 days a week and never do when I'm home now.
I do not know specifically how to fix your couch (for lack of a case), but I know how to keep them out of bed and avoid Scratching. It looks ugly, but have the clear plastic tape (make sure it is wide) and cover the areas for the cat. I mean really covered. The tape will prevent the cat to get a good grip on the couch, and eventually they will stop trying to claw it. My mother had to cover their arms sofa almost in its entirety before your cat stopped. Finally, you can take the tape. If the tape alone does not work, try taping some aluminum foil on your sofa arms. Paper Cats Aluminum hatred and make them forget his couch in his office as scratching. You have my sympathy. My cat is my brown leather sofa and put it out.

Whether you are missing or torn fabric on chairs, or just want a new look, or want to protect your furniture, give slip covers a try.
I to discover the easiest way in the world to my living room a whole new look. My antique furniture, while comfortable, was becoming conducting, spotted in a couple of chairs and a steal in one of the cushions of the couch. (Ah, kids are so fun, right?)
I was contemplating getting the restoration upholstered furniture, but do not want to go to that expense, and certainly would not go to the expense of buying new furniture, especially when there was nothing wrong with age except aesthetic problems.
Then I discovered sleeves!
No need to re-upholster my furniture – and then go to the expense of reupholstering again if the new stained tissue – when all you have to do is relatively cheap to buy slip covers that can replace again and again if necessary.
What struck me about the arrangement was not only most of the designs that slip covers come in, but also the tissues. Never would have thought I could slip leather covers, but you can. Other chenille fabrics include denim, suede, or cotton and damask.
The designs are not neglected. There are hundreds of designs to choose from, pictures from flowers to geometric, solid colors. They also come in the areas of nursery – sports, horses, etc. In fact, slip covers for chairs in your child's room just makes sense!
I am also pleased to see that these slip covers come in a variety of sizes – will fit my couch and my recliner, not to mention the straight chairs in my dining room. And of course that will fit love seats, futons and Ottoman as well – sized furniture you! And if you can get something ready-made to fit, of course, you can always order something custom made.
So I went out and chose a wide variety slip covers, because I have big plans. My whole family comes here for holidays like Christmas and Thanksgiving, so I will cover furniture designs season at the time.
If you decide to use slip covers on your furniture, make sure they are preshrunk and prewashed. In fact, make sure they are machine washable so they are easy to care! Some fabrics, of course, have to dry clean, but I always prefer to take the easiest way possible!
