How can I make a cover sheet to a sofa in the section?

I just got a leather sofa section of a friend and cushions seats are less than desirable form. I was hoping to buy a cover sheet for the whole section filled however, I find is hundreds of dollars, so I hope to do one myself. Does anyone have any idea how to do?
