Fabric For Slipcovers

Is there a quick / easy way to make sleeves?

For someone with little or no sewing skills? My friend has a sofa and sofa two places where the fabric is not very good but the furniture is in good condition. I found this huge bolt of cloth very cheap, so I thought I could be able to do something with it. The problem is that none of us have that kind of sewing skills. Both pieces are against the walls so it will not be a problem (back). We also have a lot of elastic cord in different sizes to help keep things in place if necessary. Anyone have any ideas?

Doing covers is not easy, especially if they have no sewing skills.
